FRANKSTAR Technology Group has successfully completed the production of a batch of Drifter Data Buoys for a project in Chile. The equipment is now undergoing final preparation and will soon be shipped to the customer.
Advanced Drifter Buoy for Ocean Wave Monitoring
Designed for both drifting and moored deployment, the FRANKSTAR Drifter Data Buoy provides a flexible solution for ocean wave observation and marine environmental monitoring.
Equipped with high-precision GNSS positioning and advanced wave measurement technology, the system can monitor key parameters including wave height, wave direction, wave period, sea surface temperature (SST), and sea level pressure (SLP).
With Iridium satellite communication, observation data can be transmitted to a cloud platform for remote access, monitoring, and download. A built-in 32GB SD card also provides local data storage for convenient data retrieval.
Flexible Design for Offshore Applications
Featuring a robust polyethylene buoy body, low-power consumption, and modular architecture, the Drifter is designed for long-term offshore operation. Battery capacity, communication modules, and mooring components can be configured according to different project requirements.
Supporting both drifting and moored observation modes, it is suitable for various oceanographic research and marine monitoring applications.
Delivering Marine Observation Solutions Worldwide
The completion of this Chile project represents another step in FRANKSTAR’s commitment to delivering reliable marine observation equipment to customers worldwide.
With a sales network covering more than 100 countries and regions, FRANKSTAR provides comprehensive solutions including drifting buoys, mooring buoys, integrated observation platforms, CTD instruments, wave sensors, and water-level monitoring systems.
