Smurf Self-contained Hydrophone Array

Short Description:

Smurf is a deep-sea digital hydrophone designed on a ultra-low-power platform. Compact and highly portable, it enables high-precision acquisition of underwater acoustic signals and supports long-duration autonomous operation. The device features a high-speed USB interface for direct connection to a computer, allowing for data retrieval without the need to open the housing. It supports synchronized cable-based array configurations, expandable up to 128 elements, with a synchronization accuracy superior to 1 μsensuring that timing errors do not accumulate over time.

With self-noise levels lower than Sea State 0, its pressure-resistant titanium alloy structure is engineered for deep-sea environments down to 6,000 meters. Widely deployed in marine acoustic surveys, deep-sea scientific research, bio-tracking, environmental noise monitoring, and large-aperture array observations, Smurf stands as the premier choice for portable deep-sea acoustic observation.
