  • FerryBox

    FerryBox

The -4H-FerryBox is an automated flow-through oceanographic measuring system designed by -4H-JENA engineering GmbH for water monitoring and data acquisition aboard ships. It features an integrated antifouling concept that cleans the system using acidified fresh water and supports GPS data integration via serial (RS232/RS485) or TCP/IP connections.

  • CONTROS HydroFIA pH

    CONTROS HydroFIA pH

The CONTROS HydroFIA pH is a flow-through system for the determination of the pH value in saline solutions and ideally suited for measurements in seawater. The autonomous pH analyser can be used in the lab or easily integrated into existing automated measuring systems on e.g. voluntary observing ships (VOS).

  • Mesocosm

    Mesocosm

Mesocosms are partially closed experimental outdoor systems used for the simulation of biological, chemical, and physical processes. They bridge the methodological gap between laboratory experiments and field observations, serving as an important part of climate research to experimentally simulate different future climate scenarios. The pools are filled with natural seawater and accommodate various flora and fauna (algae, shells, macro plankton, etc.) to evaluate the impact of changing environmental conditions and climate change.

  • Pocket FerryBox

    Pocket FerryBox

The -4H- PocktFerryBox is designed for high-precision measurements of multiple water parameters and constituents. The compact and user-customized design in a portable case opens new perspectives of monitoring tasks. The possibilities range from stationary monitoring to position-controlled operation onboard small boats. The compact size and weight facilitates this mobile system to be easily carried to the measuring area. The system is designed for autonomous environmental monitoring and is operable with either a power supply unit or a battery.
